Each year, about 500 residents from Dalhousie University’s residency program train at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Resident physicians are applying what they learned in medical school and are an important part of the healthcare team, providing direct patient care. Working under the guidance of licensed physicians, residents receive exceptional training, education and skills development with each post-graduate year (PGY) bringing a new set of opportunities for tomorrow’s healthcare professionals.
